SharePoint Specialist
Summary
itgroove is a young & dynamic company that is enjoying exciting growth. We are seeking a team member with strong SharePoint skills to provide professional expertise to our global client base as well as on-site service to our local area business clients. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of SharePoint related tasks using SharePoint and third-party SharePoint-certified technologies and will work very closely with our president, Sean Wallbridge, SharePoint MVP.Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to
• Design, develop, implement, maintain and support SharePoint based solutions for clients using both Foundation and Enterprise SharePoint components and third-party technologies
• Provide training and knowledge development around SharePoint and related products to staff and client audiences
• Collaborate with clients in establishing, refining, and documenting application functional and non-functional requirements for various client projects and implementations
• Develop applications, solutions and related processes to satisfy these requirements
• Produce standard documentation with regard to software development, QA and project management methodologies
• Ensure the stability, security and availability of applications and their data
• Support other team members in accomplishing group objective
Required Qualifications
• Very strong Microsoft SharePoint skills• SharePoint certification mandatory
• Broad experience with WSS/MOSS and SharePoint 2010
• Proficiency in SQL, relational database design and routine administration
• Broad knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and Microsoft .NET (including C#)
• Strong all-round computing skills with flexibility to readily adopt new technologies
• Capacity to organize individual workload and manage development projects
• Excellent analytic, communication, and interpersonal skills
• At least 5 years experience in the design and implementation of SharePoint based solutions
Assets
The following would be assets but are not required:
• Microsoft certification(s) on products other than SharePoint
• Windows infrastructure management experience (Server, SQL, Exchange, etc)

Technical Support Specialist (Consultant)

Summary

We are seeking a team member with strong technical skills to provide professional expertise to our global client base as well as on-site service to local business clients. The successful candidate will also perform a variety of tasks to help support internal technical needs.
Responsibilities
- Initiating, tracking and working through to completion client support incidents and communicating results to clients
- Liaising with clients to establish business requirements then develop and deliver solutions and exceed client expectations
- Developing and maintaining technical procedures and other documentation
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years’ experience with the following:
- Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, particularly Windows Servers and Active Directory (MCSE windows 2003 certification or better required, or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft Exchange (2007 or better - certification desired)
- A technology related diploma, degree or equivalent skills & experience
- Knowledge of databases (MS SQL, MY SQL, Access)
- Excellent customer service skills & professional attitude
- Strong knowledge of computing fundamentals
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Effective work prioritization & time management skills
- High capacity and eagerness for learning new technology
- Ability to work well as part of a team & independently
Assets
The following would be assets, but are not required:
- Microsoft SQL Server, Windows SharePoint Foundation and SharePoint Server
- Web/Database connectivity experience integrating ASP and/or ASP.NET with Microsoft SQL
- Experience with networked storage (SAN and NAS), vendor certification an asset
- Server hardware certification
- VMware, Hyper-V or other virtualization technologies experience
- VoIP experience, any vendor
- Comms experience - Switches, routers, firewalls
- HTML and development experience using either ASP, ASP.NET or PHP
- Familiarity with Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS 2008 or newer)
- Familiarity with writing complex Scripts (DOS, vbscript, javascript)
- Familiarity with the .NET framework and CSS, exposure to Visual Basic (VB.NET) or C#
Conditions
This is a full-time position working primarily from our downtown office in the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre and our corporate head office in Brentwood Bay, BC. This position currently requires the successful candidate provide their own local transportation. The candidate would need to become bonded and provide strong references that will be verified.
